Dr. Home H.C. Nguyen is a professor of leadership, and an advisor and coach to leaders, entrepreneurs, and educators. He has coached mid-level and C-suite executives of Fortune 200 companies and numerous start-ups. He teaches and facilitates courses on Self-Awareness Training, Interpersonal Group Dynamics, and Adult Learning and Leadership Development at Columbia University and Yale School of Management. 

As a trusted adviser, Dr. Home helps his clients to overcome fears and distractions, and to get clear on why they do what they do, and to develop mindfulness and practical wisdom to exert greater influence. A certified executive coach, Home received his Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Dr. Home H.C. Nguyen is a professor of mindful leadership, and an advisor and coach to senior executives, entrepreneurs, and educators. He has coached mid-level and C-suite executives of Fortune 200 companies, including Google, Amazon, LinkedIn, Fox Entertainment, and numerous start-ups. He has taught and facilitated courses on Self-Awareness Training, Interpersonal Group Dynamics, and Adult Development and Leadership at the Columbia University Business School, Law School, and Teachers College, and the Yale School of Management.

As a trusted adviser, Dr. Home helps his clients understand the purpose of why they do what they do and develop mindfulness and practical wisdom to exert greater influence over their personal and professional lives. He challenges his clients to make the difficult but courageous choices by becoming more authentic, resilient, and compassionate. His approach to leadership development and coaching is non-conventional and unorthodox, and grounded in mind-body and spirituality practices. He is fearlessly honest and inspirational, visionary and practical, holding his clients with utmost respect and care.

Dr. Home is the founder and one of the Managing Partners of the MindKind Institute, which provides coaching and leadership programs for high-performing leaders who are ready to create powerful and lasting change for their team and organization. He earned his Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University. In his research and writing, he focuses on how leaders of organizations incorporate mindfulness and compassion into their leadership influences. He received his coaching certification from the International Coaches Federation (ICF) and the Coaches Training Institute. He is also trained in Traditional Thai Massage, Sacred Intimacy and various psycho-somatic and spiritual healing modalities. He has been practicing Vipassana meditation for over twenty years.

Dr. Home was born and raised in Vietnam during a time of war. He escaped from the Communist regime on a boat at the age of 14. After surviving his ordeal at sea, he lived in a refugee camp for a year before immigrating to America. He grew up in Los Angeles, and started his career as a theater artist, writing and directing theater performances which focused on healing from traumas from wars and their aftermath. His theater work also incorporated performance arts for HIV/AIDS education and prevention. He currently resides in New York City and also on a farm in Upstate New York with his husband, Rev. Leng Leroy Lim.
